All foreign citizens, in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation (RF), are obliged to complete migration registration no later than 3 working days from the date of entry into the RF.

International students may work at their higher education institution without a work permit in their free time from studies, and they may also work for other employers during vacation periods.
The employer must properly formalize the employment and notify the territorial MVD about the employment contract.
