MPEI International Council

The International Council of MPEI (MPEI Intersovet) is an international student organization that has existed for more than 20 years and includes students and postgraduates from different countries of the world and different fields of study, united by common interests, goals, and tasks.

The main goal of the International Council is to help international students adapt to life in a new country, communicate, and engage in cultural exchange. To this end, Council members organize various events such as the “Culture Fair,” “Culinary Marathon,” “Talent Night,” “Spartakiad,” etc., as well as internal meetings of the organization and get-togethers outside class hours.
The organization helps students find social contacts, opportunities for communication and development of language skills, and also assists with various issues related to study and living in the country.
The structure of the Intercouncil is based on “Zemlyachestva.” A “Zemlyachestvo” is an association of representatives of one country or of several countries close in mentality and cultural traditions within the university. At present, the Intercouncil includes more than 20 such communities (Arab countries, African countries, European countries, Asian countries, and CIS countries).
