The 2026 graduation ceremony for international students at NRU “MPEI”, held on 23 July, was particularly significant for graduates from the Republic of Türkiye. This year, the first participants in the training programme for specialists for the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant received their diplomas.
NRU “MPEI” joined the project to train specialists for the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in 2023. The programme is carried out with the participation of Rosatom State Corporation and Akkuyu Nuclear and aims to train highly qualified specialists for the nuclear energy sector.
Ahmet Gök, Education Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Moscow, attended the ceremony to share this special occasion with the graduates. He congratulated the students on completing their studies and wished them professional growth and successful careers.
The graduation of the programme’s first students marked an important milestone in the development of international cooperation between NRU “MPEI” and its Turkish partners. It also demonstrated the high standard of training provided to specialists for the modern nuclear industry.
